Smarter than the average phone

In a new article published on the ZINC website today, results from our 2010 omnibus survey show the continuing shift towards smartphones over conventional mobile devices – not just in business circles but among consumers in general. This trend is largely fueled by the popularity of the iPhone and its consumer-friendly competitors – while in turn the demand in this market is driven by the ability not just to access your email on the road but also your accounts on Facebook, Twitter and any of a number of other Internet-based tools and resources. Mobile Internet access, the survey suggests, has evolved quickly from “nice-to-have” to “must-have.”
